The Design tab is the primary workspace for building projects in Datanyx. It provides a structured environment where users can create, organize, and manage all project components in one place.
Getting Started
To begin a project, create a folder within the Design tab. This folder serves as the central container for all related assets, keeping your work organized and accessible.
What You Can Build
From within a project folder, users can create:
- Reports — structured outputs that present data insights
- Charts — visual representations of data for trend and pattern analysis
- Data Cubes — multi-dimensional datasets for complex analysis
- Workflows — automated sequences for data processing tasks
- Dimensions — defined categories for organizing and grouping data
- Filters — criteria to narrow data to relevant subsets
- Data Models — integrated structures that connect data sources and define entity relationships
How It All Connects
The Design tab brings together data modeling and visualization into a unified workspace. Assets created within a project folder can reference shared dimensions, filters, and data models, ensuring consistency across reports, charts, and workflows.
