Functional Transformation Node – Introduction
Step 1: Once data is imported, click on transformation.
Step 2: Drag and drop the functional transformation node onto the main screen. Connect the two nodes. (Refer to the image below).

Step 3: Click on the configure button to configure data transformation.
Step 4: You can choose the category, the function and the fields. (Refer to the image below).
Step 5: In the example below, the cleansing function has been selected to remove white spaces and data transformation has been selected from category and the Employee ID field has been chosen to be renamed as ID. (Refer to the image below).
Step 6: Click on the apply button and click on the run button to run the workflow. Click on the “Show Results” on the bottom line to view the result.
Step 7: The data that has been transformed is as below. The images of the before and after has been given below. (Refer to the images below).
Note: After configuring a node, ensure you click “Save” to retain the changes. If you need to undo the configuration, click “Discard.” Failing to choose either “Save” or “Discard” will trigger a warning pop-up. (Refer to the image below).
